Gut diversity and pH/inflammation

Presented by: Vanessa Hitch

Loss of gastro-intestinal microbial diversity is becoming even more prevalent and underpins many inflammatory and immune conditions, as does latent acidity.
Despite probiotic supplementation, the many species in our delicate microbiome are susceptible to destruction from adverse conditions.

In this webinar you will:

  • Discover the importance of microbial diversity and why our indigenous microbiota are becoming ‘endangered species’.
  • Understand the importance of addressing the underlying mucosal terrain for improving our microbiome.
  • Learn about ‘strain specificity’ and how to use specific strains to successfully resolve chronic inflammatory and immune issues.
  • Gain insight into latent acidity, its close link to gastro-intestinal dysbiosis and what we can do about it.

Musculoskeletal system: The influence of magnesium supplementation

Presented by: Prof. Jürgen Vormann

Magnesium is well known as an important mineral for musculoskeletal health. It is vital for the structure of connective tissue, bone health and pain management. However, when choosing magnesium supplementation two aspects must be considered; the type of magnesium and the amount provided in the supplement.

In this webinar you will:

  • Learn why magnesium is vital for musculoskeletal health and pain management.
  • Discover how our modern diet induces magnesium deficiencies and creates risk factors for various diseases.
  • Understand the evidence on how magnesium status is significantly related to cancer risks, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, especially arrhythmias.
  • Learn how to choose the right form of magnesium for effective supplementation.

Detoxing endocrine disruptors

Presented by: Paul Kern

Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are largely industrial toxins found commonly in the environment and in our homes. They are an insidious and toxic threat, and as they are often carcinogenic and known to wreak havoc on endocrine function, they are contributing to many chronic health complaints.

In this webinar you will:

  • Discover what can be done to efficiently detox EDCs and how to maintain effective detoxification.
  • Learn trouble-shooting strategies for difficult cases and pathological detoxifiers.
  • Understand why phase 3 detoxification may be the missing piece in the puzzle and how to activate this crucial detoxification pathway.

pH, musculoskeletal health & pain management

Presented by: Prof. Jürgen Vormann & Vanessa Hitch

SPECIAL EXTENDED WEBINAR

90mins + Live Q&A

2 CPE Points

Part 1: Vital role of acid-base balance for musculoskeletal health, pain management and metabolic disorders (Prof. Jürgen Vormann)

It is now becoming clear that pH management plays an underlying role in many common complaints. It has been discovered in recent research that pH imbalances will intensify pain syndromes, lead to poor bone health and even increase cortisol secretion. As we know, every part of the body relies on the correct pH balance to maintain homeostasis, tolerating only very small shifts to prevent catastrophic cascades.

  • Local acidosis is a significant trigger of pain, as pain receptors react to small changes in extracellular pH.
  • Learn why acid-base balance is vital for musculoskeletal health and pain management.
  • The relationship between acid base balance and insulin resistance and hypertension.
  • Learn the latest research on the connection between dietary acid load and the increased risk for osteoporosis and diabetes.
  • Which common foods are going to interfere with acid base balance and why.

Part 2: Protein rich diets, pH and pain signalling (Vanessa Hitch)

With soaring rates of obesity and diabetes, it is clear our modern Western diet has failed us and so many are looking at alternatives. However, the current diets purported to be healthy, such as high protein/low carb and ‘Paleo’ style, may be contributing to acid-alkaline imbalances, with far reaching health implications.

In this webinar you will:

  • Discover emerging research on the role of acid-alkaline dysregulation as a driver of pain and inflammation.
  • Understand the evidence behind high protein/low carb diets in the context of our true ‘paleo’ ancestors.
  • Learn strategies to assist in reducing pain and inflammation through pH regulation and mineral therapy.

The bigger picture in immune care

Presented by: Paul Kern

A loss of adaptation and a gradual deterioration of the immune system, called immunosenescence, is a natural process as we age. However, healthy immune resilience is becoming increasingly overwhelmed by both internal and environmental stressors, and while immunosenescence has been related only to ageing populations, it has now become a global issue affecting all age groups.

In this webinar you will:

  • Discover strategies for successfully dealing with the emerging epidemic of immunosenescence, when immune adaptation is lost.
  • Understand how stress and toxicity affect endocrine and immune competence and how to correct it quickly and effectively.
  • Learn the three pillar immune resilience supporting treatment protocols.

De-coding the thyroid

Presented by: Vanessa Hitch

Thyroid dysfunction is often overlooked or misdiagnosed and may be the underlying cause of fatigue, weight gain, anxiety, depression and cognitive impairment.

In this webinar you will:

  • Learn how to effectively assess and treat thyroid dysfunction.
  • De-code ‘normal’ thyroid test results and investigate key body thyroid clues.
  • Discover evidence-based natural medicines and nutrients that are effective for thyroid imbalances and auto-immune thyroid dysfunction.
  • Review up-to-date research on the iodine debate.

Methylation made easy

Presented by: Paul Kern

We are only at the beginning of our understanding of how methylation and nutrigenomics affects our health and wellbeing. With the explosion of new research in these areas, it’s no wonder many practitioners feel overwhelmed by the often complicated and conflicting information available.

This must-see webinar will focus on:

  • Methylation 101 and how it can make your prescribing more effective than ever
  • Gene variants, such as MTHFR, which may affect methylation pathways and what you can do to prevent this playing havoc with your client’s health
  • Putting methylation into context, with environmental influences, drivers of oxidative stress and inflammation, to find prescribing solutions that really work.

De-mystifying B vitamins in clinical practice

Presented by: Vanessa Hitch

Many of us understand the importance of B group vitamins in practice, but how do they really work to improve our energy levels, promote healthy nervous system function, improve methylation and even cellular production of ATP?

With new research, ‘activated’ B vitamins have become available: however, there remains conflicting information and confusion about which forms of B vitamins are best for your clients.

In this unmissable webinar, you will learn to:

  • Distinguish between different forms of B vitamins and use them therapeutically
  • De-mystify the biochemistry behind B vitamins
  • Crack the folate debate about which form is best for clients who have methylation issues
  • Personalise your prescribing in clinical practice.

The nutrient deficiency epidemic

Presented by: Vanessa Hitch

We often see clients in practice who don’t respond the way we hope. Could it be there is an underlying nutritional deficiency, blocking their therapeutic progress?

It is both surprising and concerning that clients commonly present with many nutritional imbalances and deficiencies, causing energy depletion, poor healing and immunity, lowered thyroid function, and a higher risk of chronic health conditions.

In this important webinar, you will learn about:

  • Key nutrients, often deficient or even in excess, and how to effectively correct the imbalances in nutrients, such as magnesium, zinc, vitamin D, iron and B vitamins
  • De-coding tests for specific nutrients—what do the lab reference ranges vs ‘optimal’ levels mean and how can you use this information to improve your prescribing efficacy
  • Signs, symptoms and red flags in practice, suggesting nutrient imbalances
  • How acid base balance can help prevent the hyperexcretion of nutrients.

Probiotics – linking evidence and efficacy

Presented by: Lotta Johansson

International expert in probiotics

Probiotic research is prolific, but not all strains have been clinically studied. Without this research we do not really know the effectiveness of many probiotic supplements and prescribing can become hit and miss.

This never before webinar will focus on:

  • The ideal probiotic criteria and reasons why we all need to take a probiotic everyday
  • Understanding why strain specificity is key
  • Revealing the myriad of clinical trials conducted on a single strain and challenging the concept that more is always better.
